Video footage available of Spiritbox performing their newest single “Mourning”

Spiritbox‘s most recent single, “Mourning,” made its live debut last night (September 12) as they wrapped up their performance in Glasgow, Scotland, as per theprp. Since then, fan-shot video of that concert has surfaced online below. The gold-certified alternative metal group released the new song last week with little notice. With Jinjer and Dying Wish providing support, the group’s European/UK headline leg began with last night’s performance.

Singer Courtney LaPlante and guitarist Mike Stringer were members of Iwrestledabearonce before to co-founding Spiritbox. During this period, the couple was engaged and had intended to start their own joint musical endeavour since 2011. They made the decision to leave the band in late 2015. Each of LaPlante and Stringer had taken the place of a former member of Iwrestledabearonce, and they were never at ease with that position in the group. They also wanted to go in a different artistic and personal direction.
