MAPHRA performed the band’s 2015 song “Doomed” live for the first time with Bring Me The Horizon, as per theprp. That much-anticipated match happened at the yearly “Sonic Temple” festival, which was hosted at Columbus, Ohio’s Historic Crew Stadium. Last night’s main performer was Bring Me The Horizon. Following her recent live debut with Ice Nine Kills at last weekend’s “Welcome To Rockville” festival, the guest appearance was MAPHRA‘s second time performing with a well-known performer. In recent months, MAPHRA‘s renditions of a variety of metalcore and alternative metal songs have seen significant online success.

Earlier this year, her rendition of “Doomed” reached the top of Billboard’s Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart and has since received tens of millions of plays. Since then, she has returned to that chart with her rendition of Spiritbox‘s “Circle With Me.” Oli Sykes, the singer of Bring Me The Horizon, likely appreciated the additional vocal support during yesterday’s concert because he was struck by a phone thrown from the audience earlier this week, resulting in a mild concussion.

But also, this year’s Furnace Fest 2026 will feature a full-album performance of Bring Me The Horizon‘s debut album “Count Your Blessings”, the only complete play of that record scheduled for North America, along with other ‘bangers’. Fans also noted what seemed to be re-recorded audio, with an updated version of “Pray For Plagues” included in a recent joint marketing post for the festival. A re-recorded “Repented” version of “Count Your Blessings” is scheduled to be released on July 10th, as Bring Me The Horizon revealed back in April. On October 10 and 11, Furnace Fest will be back at Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, Alabama. Other highlights include Underoath, Motionless in White, Circa Survive, Hatebreed, and more. A Day To Remember will be the other big event.

Also, this past Friday, May 15, at the Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio, Lzzy Hale, lead vocalist of Halestorm, performed a cover of the Journey classic “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” alongside Daughtry. Below is a fan-filmed video of the partnership. In January 2023, exactly forty years after the original song’s release on January 5, 1983, a studio recording of Daughtry and Lzzy’s rendition of “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” became accessible.
