Turmion Kätilöt and Chaoseum to strengthen Kaaos Festival’s line-up

Vaasa’s heavy music scene will get more color next summer when the new metal music-focused Kaaos Festival is organized from July 25-26 in the former Wasalandia area in Vaskiluoto. The event is being organized in collaboration with WsArena Oy, responsible for the Lisää Löylyä festival, together with Kaaoszine. Arto Mäenpää, the editor-in-chief of Kaaoszine who is acting as the festival’s promoter, says the following about the new festival:

“The festival’s lineup is shaping up to be a Kaaoszine-like entity, so there will be a very broad scale of metal music’s different nuances and styles for the audience. Negotiations with the headliners are still ongoing, and we hope to have them announced in the spring of 2025 along with the daily timetables.”

In addition to the previously announced bands The Haunted, Fleshgod Apocalypse, In Mourning, Bloodred Hourglass, …And Oceans, Assemble The Chariots, Enemies Everywhere, and Where’s My Bible, the Kaaos Festival stage will also feature the uncrowned kings of disco metal, Turmion Kätilöt, as well as the Swiss band Chaoseum, which combines nu-metal and metalcore, making their first appearance in Finland.

Turmion Kätilöt is a band that doesn’t really need much introduction to the domestic audience. The band released their latest album “Reset” along with a book about the band in October and will arrive in Vaasa at the end of July to kick off an unforgettable disco that will leave no one cold.

Hailing from Switzerland, this electrifying band brings a groundbreaking fusion of nu-metal and metalcore that will send shockwaves through the festival grounds. Kaaos Festival’s two-day early bird tickets are now on sale at Ticketmaster and NetTicket. Other ticket types will go on sale in spring 2025, when the festival’s day-specific program will also be revealed.
