The Who’s Roger Daltrey has dismissed the idea of the group recording another album, citing the poor commercial response to their 2019 LP “Who”. The previous album, “Endless Wire”, was released in 2006.

In a recent interview with NME, Daltrey gave news that would not please the band’s listeners: “What’s the point of records? We released an album four years ago, and it did nothing,” he said. “It’s a great album too, but there isn’t the interest out there for new music these days. People want to hear the old music. I don’t know why, but that’s the fact.”

The London-born singer added: “Record companies, they just don’t do the same job as they used to”.
