Roger Daltrey, lead singer of the legendary rock band The Who, recently gave a rather unusual opinion of the genre’s legendary band The Rolling Stone.

In a recent interview with The Coda Collection, Daltrey expressed his opinion that The Rolling Stones are just a “mediocre pub band”:

“You can not take away the fact that Mick Jagger is still the No. 1 rock ‘n’ roll showman up front. But as a band, if you were outside a pub and you heard that music coming out of a pub some night, you’d think, ‘Well, that’s a mediocre pub band!'”

Daltrey did add that he meant no disrespect with the comment.
