Steve’n’Seagulls are headed to North American and European tours after summer

Live music is alive and kicking and so is the bluegrass meets rock meets metal band Steve’n’Seagulls. The Finnish flock is coming back to North America after the summer of 2022. This banjo pickin’ and accordion slammin’ group of Finns starts their tour on the first of September from Texas. The upcoming tour is their ninth on the soil of North America – so they have gathered plenty of experience on touring on this beautiful continent. COVID-19 pandemic made them Seagulls and their North American fans wait longer than planned but on the verge of their US tour the band feels as fresh as a nice cold Bud Light.

“We for sure have been waiting for this anxiously. The pandemic – as we all know – affected almost everything very harshly. But we are fortunate to have a great manager, booking agents and other crew. These people and their super hard work are the reason we are even able to tour after all that has happened. So our biggest thank you to all of them. We salute you! During the four week tour we’ll get to play in some venues we already know from past tours. But among them are some new places too and we are really looking forward to those too! On the previous tours we’ve seen and experienced all kinds of stuff – so we are keen to see what nightly driving, Brooklyn traffic, and for example the plains of Texas have to offer this time. Local fans have always been super nice and polite towards us. We’ve received all kinds of local specialities from moonshine to BBQ – even an anvil as a gift from a fan. We are really looking forward to this tour and happy to be back on the road! We can’t wait!”

The Lion Tamer US tour 2022 takes Steve’n’Seagulls from the South of Texas and Arkansas to the Midwest of Minnesota and Wisconsin and all the way to Maine and New York in the East. That’s about as much as four weeks of touring can cover. But there are already plans for the year 2023. Steve’n’Seagulls will tour on North American soil with a well known American band in 2023. But we’ll dig into that later. Rest of 2022 is a very busy time for the band also in Europe. During the summer they’ll play festivals and club shows all over Europe. After North America Steve’n’Seagulls will return to Finland for a couple of shows – and only to pack their bags again. At the end of October they hop on the road and begin their four week Lion Tamer Europe 2022 tour. On that run the road takes them to Germany, France, Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland and Czech Republic.

Steve’n’Seagulls is a band from the North – from Finland to be precise. Their music has been described as newgrass, country, rock, bluegrass and progressive bluegrass. And the band states that they are all of this and more. During their live set you’ll find plenty of instruments played on stage. Banjo, accordion, upright bass, drum set, mandolins, acoustic guitar, flute etc change hands – sometimes even during one song. And you’re in for good times with these Finns! After releasing three videos on their YouTube channel during the summer of 2014 the band quickly went viral all over the world. So far their videos have reached over 282 million views and their take on AC/DC classic “Thunderstruck” has been viewed over 143 million times on their YouTube alone. They have played in over 30 countries on four continents. All of their four albums have reached the album chart in Finland and also the Billboard charts in North America. Their second album “Brothers in farms” became the first Finnish album to reach number 1 position on the Billboard Bluegrass chart. Even though Steve’n’Seagulls are known for their artistic and cheerful renditions of rock and metal classics – they have also introduced their original music on three of their albums.
