Spanish pop punk band Da Igual has shared their brand new video “Tatuado a Fuego” which you can see below. The Tarragona-born group fronted by Wences Sánchez (vocals, guitar) and Alex Pouget (guitar, vocals) has also announced a Madrid concert, as part of the Explosión de Color Tour, which will take place on Wednesday 21 March at the Moby Dick venue in the Spanish capital. Grab your tickets here.

“Explosión de Color” is the latest offering from Da Igual, an LP with notable influences, from Californian Punk to Spanish Pop Rock, with subtle touches and electronic influences from the eighties and very modern Trap & Bass rhythms.
Da Igual was initially conceived without a name in December 2007 and it wasn’t until January 2009, with the addition of Alex when the project was given the name Da Igual, the motivation that led the two musicians to choose this name was the following: “Da Igual (“It doesn’t matter”) because the name is not what matters”.

In 2010, Da Igual released their first album “Injustificable”, with which they achieved national recognition. That year, the group embarked on an adventure of making a pop-punk version of “Bailar Pegados“, a song made popular by Sergio Dalma. This song helped Da Igual to become candidates to be representative for Eurovision 2011. In the same year, the band gave a concert with their own songs in front of more than 5,000 people.

In 2012, the Spanish act released their second album Y Punto. That same year, due to their inexperience and lack of knowledge of how the music industry works, the Da Igual project dissolved.

Five years later, in 2017, Wences Sánchez reunited with Alex Pouget to release a single that would sign their comeback as a band. “Ya entendí” surpassed 1.5 million plays on YouTube and allowed the band to perform in Mexico (Baja California). The group toured the state’s underground circuit for seven concerts, a series of gigs in which they started from scratch and had to win people over with their songs.

In 2018, Da Igual presents Star Ways, a production that includes a great selection of songs by the most influential artists and performers in Spain. From Rocío Durcal and the Italian Rafaela Carrá to La Polla Records or Mecano, all of them are brought to the band’s style and pop punk universe. Since its release, the concert dates have not stopped growing year after year. Da Igual finds in Star Ways the sustainability to launch their career since in every concert the public asks for their own songs.

In November 2019 they start working on their third studio album. A production that lasts until 2020, the year in which the pandemic is declared. Due to the health crisis, they decide to postpone the release of the album and the scheduled tour. Unable to perform live concerts, they released their Twitch channel to keep in touch with their fans. There, they made a daily 60-minute broadcast, which they called “Hasta los cojones de vivir by Da Igual”. A space, with a touch of humor, in which they commented on current affairs, performed, and shared their experiences with their audience.

On April 27th, 2021, still during the pandemic, the group offered a live-streaming concert, a performance that would later become the acoustic album Da Igual, released in June of the same year.

Subsequently, they released 3 singles as a preview of their new album: “Mis Reacciones“, an experimental single with a fusion of trap and some metal, offering a clear and forceful message about a real-life experience; “Si yo pudiera”, a song composed, recorded, mixed and mastered live with a live performance; and “Te entraré“, a neo-pop punk style song with the stamp, the character, and the personality of the band.

On June 10th, 2022, Da Igual released their new studio album “Explosión de Color”, including 14 new songs and 3 bonus tracks.
Prefiero 1k veces 1 beso que 1 like de Instagram” (April 2022) and “A Brindar” (May 2022) were the previews they launched before the release of the album. Currently, between the two, they have accumulated more than 1 million views on YouTube.
