Slipknot tease new masks — here’s what we know so far
For their 2025 tour, a few members of the multi-platinum Iowan masked metallers Slipknot seem to have modified their masks. As the 25th anniversary festivities for the band’s 1999 self-titled breakthrough album have come to an end, fans have noted that both guitarist Jim Root and DJ Sid Wilson have been wearing more modern clothing. A small change made by vocalist Corey Taylor last year—the bright red eyes he had added to his mask—also seems to have been removed. As part of their current “Knotfest Australia” tour, which will also include several headline performances, Slipknot just made their stage comeback for the first time this year. The group debuted “Gematria (The Killing Name)” at the recent tour launch in Melbourne. And as we posted, they’re currently performing in Australia without Clown and Vended‘s Simon Crahan for a family emergency.
