Reggae metal legends from Newport, Wales – Skindred – one more time proved that they are a true force of nature. The support came from the energetic As Everything Unfolds and nu-metal giants P.O.D. whose performances were spot on. The night’s headliners had full control of the whole arena right from the start. Benji Webbe used his strong charisma and energy to show why Skindred is not just a band, but a statement, a solid unit, a pure energy of life and love. By sharing deeply personal life stories, making people dance and chant, and creating a unique ‘Newport Helicopter’ during which the audience was spinning their t-shirts above their heads, Benji ensured that every single person in the room had fun and felt included. Daniel Pugsley, Mikey Demus and Arya Goggin showed a true mastery of their musical skill. All four band members created an unforgettable, incomparable energy that showed why Skindred won the Best Alternative Music Act award at the MOBO Awards this year. We were lucky enough to see the legendary quartet play at the OVO Wembley Arena on the 15th of March. Check out the photo gallery of Skindred taking full control of the arena!
