Portland-based stoner/sludge band Red Fang will celebrate their 20th anniversary with the release of the “Deep Cuts” compilation on March 14, 2025. The album features 26 tracks, including rarities, cover versions and previously unreleased singles.
The band has pre-shared the track “It’s Always There”, which was previously only available on the deluxe version of the “Whales and Leeches” album. The song features a guest appearance by Pall Jenkins of Three Mile Pilot and The Black Heart Procession.
“Deep Cuts” includes cover versions of “Over The Edge” by The Wipers and “Listen to Sirens” by Tubeway Army. The collection also features the band’s own rarities, such as “Antidote” from the mobile game “Red Fang: Headbang!” and a demo version of “Wires”, which is now being released on vinyl for the first time.
Commenting on the band’s 20-year anniversary, bassist Aaron Beam said, “Perhaps unimportant to others, but to me it’s incredible that we’ve survived for TWENTY YEARS.” He says the band started out playing for friends at basement parties and has tried to keep the same atmosphere when playing bigger venues.
