Queens of the Stone Age announce new album “Perfecth” – new single with video available

Queens of the Stone Age, a gold-certified alternative rock band, have formally announced that their ninth studio album, “Perfecth,” will be released on October 30, as per theprp. The band recently released “Insignificant Other,” a brand-new song from that trip.

Nothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be ‘perfecth’. And that title is funny when you’re in a group, but it ain’t so funny when you’re alone.

It’s a song about distance. About how someone can be your entire world only to simply vanish. And about the strange vertigo of being on the receiving end of that. – Josh Homme

This endeavour was made public after the gang engaged in a great deal of humorous online taunting. In addition to this new song, the band just released another weird video that was shot by Chapman Baehler and written by Homme. It is available for viewing below.

“Perfecth,” which was co-produced by Homme and the band’s bassist/vocalist Michael Shuman, was inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese technique of mending damaged objects.

Every song sounds like it’s from a different world. And that’s on purpose, because it’s trying to stitch together all these emotions revolving around love, lust, foolishness, and the sort of wisdom that comes as a gift from all that. – Josh Homme
