Queens of the Stone Age, a gold-certified alternative rock band, have tentatively set September 30th for the release of their ninth studio album, “Perfecth”, as per theprp. This weekend, the band made the announcement over a hectic round of five-finger fillet. The video, which can be viewed here, finally decided to indicate the album is coming soon instead of the previously stated release date. Given that the group has recently increased their promotional efforts thru an online complaint line and the release of a new single, “Easy Street,” last month, it is not surprising that a new full-length record is on the way.

  • Tuesday, September 15, 2026 – Regina, SK, Canada – Mosaic Stadium (with Foo FightersMannequin Pussy)

The American rock group QOTSA was founded in Seattle in 1996. Josh Homme, the band’s lead singer and guitarist, started it just before he moved back to his hometown of Palm Desert, California. Since 2013, the lineup has included Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen (guitar, lap steel, keyboards, percussion, backing vocals), Michael Shuman (bass, keyboards, backing vocals), Dean Fertita (keyboards, guitar, percussion, backing vocals), and Jon Theodore (drums, percussion). Homme has been the only member who has remained consistent throughout numerous lineup changes.

The band was born out of the expansion of the Palm Desert music scene and was formed following the breakup of Homme’s former band, Kyuss. Homme sang and played every instrument on the band’s self-titled debut album (1998), with the exception of drums, which were played by Alfredo Hernández, a former member of Kyuss. Bassist Nick Oliveri joined the band for its accompanying tour and quickly rose to the position of co-lead vocalist, and Dave Catching joined Homme on keyboards, guitar, and lap steel. The band made its major label debut with Interscope Records with their second studio album, “Rated R” (2000), which included Mark Lanegan as a guest vocalist. It featured the breakthrough track “The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret” and was both critically and commercially successful.
