Queens of the Stone Age unveil “Run Away from the Mob” lyric video ahead of new album

Queens of the Stone Age have shared an official lyric video for “Run Away from the Mob”, the closing song on their upcoming ninth studio album, “Perfecth”. The record is scheduled for release this Friday, October 30, making the new clip a final advance look at the album.
Frontman Josh Homme described the track as a message from a father to his eldest son, imagining what he would want the child to know if something went terribly wrong. In a comment accompanying the release, Homme called it:
“It’s a letter, a last one, addressed to an oldest son.”
Homme also framed the song’s ending as a father remaining present for his son. The description gives the closing track a personal narrative ahead of the album’s release, rather than simply presenting it as another single. His remarks were shared by Theprp alongside the official video.
“Perfecth” also includes the previously unveiled songs “Easy Street” and “Insignificant Other”. Queens of the Stone Age recently performed two new album tracks live in Iceland as anticipation for the release builds.
