Queens of the Stone Age debut two new songs live in Iceland

Queens of the Stone Age gave fans an early glimpse of their approaching ninth studio album “Perfecth” at a concert in Reykjavík, Iceland, on Saturday, October 24. The band performed two songs from the record, “Insignificant Other” and the previously unreleased “Phantom Limb”, live for the first time.
The show at Laugardalshöll also marked the group’s first appearance in Iceland since 2005. Audience-shot recordings of both premieres have since circulated online, offering a preview of how the new material translates to the stage just days before the record arrives on Friday, October 30.
New songs alongside familiar favourites
According to the concert’s documented setlist, “Insignificant Other” appeared earlier in the evening, while “Phantom Limb” made its debut towards the end of the main performance. Another “Perfecth” track, “Where the Goth Girls At?”, was also played. The group opened with “Tangled Up in Plaid”, a song that had reportedly been absent from their concerts since 2018.
The roughly two-hour set also drew from the band’s older catalogue, including “Go With the Flow”, “Little Sister”, “No One Knows”, “Mexicola” and “A Song for the Dead”. Unlike a studio recording, the videos below were captured by audience members at the Iceland concert, so their audio and camera quality may vary.
“Perfecth” follows 2023’s “In Times New Roman…”. The October 24 debuts provide another indication of what listeners can expect from the new material when the album is released.
