Primal Fear share huge updates about the new album and first single

The Primal Fear camp has some exciting news! On April 23, 2027, the band’s new album “Shadowriders” will be released via Reigning Phoenix Music, as per Blabbermouth. “Vengeance Now,” the album’s debut single and music video, will be released before to Christmas.

Ralf Scheepers and Mat Sinner formed Primal Fear in October 1997. Ralf Scheepers was a vocalist for the bands Tyran Pace, F.B.I., and the globally popular band Gamma Ray. The idea to start Primal Fear emerged following a performance with his Judas Priest cover band Just Priest, in which Tom Naumann and Mat Sinner assisted. In late 1997, they got a record contract with Nuclear Blast Records. One of the highest chart entries for a debut album in German metal, “Primal Fear” was released in February 1998 and peaked at number 48 on the German LP charts. They went on tour with HammerFall and Running Wild that same year.

The second album, “Jaws of Death”, was released in July 1999. Due to health issues, guitarist Tom Naumann left the band shortly after it was released. Alex Beyrodt took his position during the tour of Europe, Brazil, and Japan. Henny Wolter became the band’s permanent successor in January 2000. The third album, “Nuclear Fire”, was released in the beginning of 2001. The band performed in the United States for the first time during the next world tour, and they were guests at the Milwaukee Metalfest and the Metal Meltdown Festival. “Black Sun”, the subsequent album, debuted on April 29, 2002, and peaked at number 55 on the German LP charts. The guitar solos for “Fear” and “Armageddon” were written by Halford‘s guitarist Mike Chlasciak.

A performance at the Scala in London was the high point of the subsequent double-headlining tour with fellow band Rage. Tom Naumann returned to the band that same year after Henny Wolter departed. The band concluded the “Black Sun” tour by touring Brazil once more with this lineup. Together with Rob Halford, Testament, and a few other bands, the band toured the United States and Canada in April and May of 2003 as part of the “Metal Gods” tour. Randy Black took Klaus Sperling’s position as drummer for the tour. Randy became a permanent member of the band after the tour.
