KISS leaders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons talked about the future avatar-based KISS concert, which is reportedly set to debut in Las Vegas in 2028, in a recent interview with Melissa Ruggieri of USA Today, as per Blabbermouth. Pophouse Entertainment, a Swedish music investment company co-founded by Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA, will be making its first significant foray into the U.S. market with this experience. Pophouse, the company behind “ABBA Voyage,” was founded in 2014 and closed its first fund, Pophouse Fund I, in March 2025 after raising more than $1.3 billion to invest in music catalogues and intellectual property. The band’s song catalogue, name, image and likeness rights, including face paint designs, as well as their artist share of master recordings and publishing rights, were acquired by Pophouse through KISS‘s reportedly $300 million transaction.

What we’re doing will absolutely blow people away, it’s as real as you and us sitting here. It’s immersive; it will be mind-boggling.

Stanley mentioned that the KISS avatar event will be held in a specially designed facility that is reportedly being built at a cost of $200 million.

You have to build an arena to make sure everybody’s seat is the perfect viewing distance and angle. But quite honestly, I don’t think anybody is going to sit. It’s not going to be like, ‘Gee, that looks just like an amplifier.’ It’s not a concert in that sense; it’s an immersive experience.

Gene Simmons also stated:

There’s a motion picture. There’s a script. There are directors … We’re like that caterpillar that looks like it’s at the end of its life and goes into its cocoon, but what comes out is more beautiful than it’s ever been.
