American rock band Paramore has announced their return with a cover as part of a Talking Heads tribute album, after deleting their social media.
According to People, A24 is releasing a tribute album to the band Talking Heads, following the recent re-release of their “Stop Making Sense” concert film for its 40th anniversary. The first song on the album will be by Paramore.
Last month, Paramore removed all posts and images from their social media pages, while their official website displayed a 404 error message. This came after the group expressed a “degree of uncertainty” about their future following the completion of their ‘This Is Why’ tour and recent commitments to their label.
More speculation about the band came last week when it was announced that they were pulling out of their headline slot at the ALTer Ego festival before it was reported that Paramore was preparing for a new era and a new record deal.
Returning to Instagram on January 10, Paramore has shared a teaser for their cover of Talking Heads‘ “Burning Down The House“, taken from an upcoming tribute album.
The clip shows frontwoman Hayley Williams collecting a package that was delivered to her house. When she opens it, she finds the iconic oversized suit worn by Talking Heads frontman David Byrne in the band’s concert film “Stop Making Sense”.
