The recently released music video for a remix of Lauren Sanderson‘s rap rock track “COME SAY SUM” features Fred Durst, the frontman of Limp Bizkit, as per theprp. Given that Durst noticed the song on social media, that match seems to have happened naturally. It was reminiscent of Limp Bizkit’s own music video for their 1999 hit song “Break Stuff,” as was its self-described “Lez Bizkit”-style original music video. Sanderson‘s upcoming new album “LAUREN,” which is scheduled for release on May 29, will feature the original studio version of this song. That song paved the way for both this Durst remix and Sanderson’s opening performance at Limp Bizkit’s October 11 and 12 performances at The Truth in Nashville, TN.
Did I know this song had magic in it? Yes. Did I think Fred Durst would discover it and bring my Lez Bizkit dreams to life? Probably not. Ever since the first conversation Fred and I had, I knew this friendship was created by the universe. Some people just have that magic, and when you put Fred & I together… We are what you call a serendipitous collision.
