Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) launches mysterious ‘Vote Durst’ campaign

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has launched a mysterious social media campaign under the name “Vote Durst”, telling fans that he is running without explaining exactly what he is running for.
What is Vote Durst?
In a video shared through a newly created @votedurst account, the musician delivered a mock-campaign message: “Well, just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, it’s time to vote Durst.” He added that he wanted to get to the bottom of things and declared that he was running.
The account’s biography says Durst wants to make the world a better place, but neither the profile nor the initial announcement identifies an election, office or other position.
The timing has naturally encouraged speculation about whether the stunt is political satire, a promotional campaign or a teaser for new music. None of those possibilities has been confirmed by Durst or Limp Bizkit.
For now, the ambiguity appears to be part of the presentation. Fans will have to wait for another announcement before the meaning of “Vote Durst” becomes clear.
