A biopic detailing the lives of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne is currently in the works, as confirmed by the famous couple themselves.
The Prince of Darkness and his spouse, a renowned music manager and TV personality, delved into discussions about the upcoming film during the latest installment of their podcast, “The Osbournes.” Joining them as co-hosts were their children, Jack and Kelly.
Variety initially broke the news of the prospective biopic back in 2021. According to reports, Sony Pictures and Polygram Entertainment are set to produce the film, with a screenplay penned by Lee Hall, known for his work on “Rocketman.” The script will chronicle the romantic journey of the former Black Sabbath frontman and his longtime partner and manager.
During a recent episode of The Osbournes, Sharon remarked on the lengthy process of filmmaking, stating, “Movies take forever to make. Forever!” This sentiment was echoed by Ozzy, who humorously added, “By the time they finish this film, I’ll be dead… I wanna be alive to see it.“
In addition to discussing the film’s progress, Sharon disclosed her preference for an actress to portray her onscreen. She mentioned Florence Pugh, known for her roles in Oppenheimer and Dune Part Two, as well as the little girl from Game of Thrones. This likely refers to Bella Ramsey, renowned for her portrayal of Lyanna Mormont in the acclaimed series, and later recognized for her role as Ellie in The Last of Us.
