Sharon and Jack Osbourne take you inside Ozzy’s haunted house

Halloween Horror Night 2026 at Universal Studios Hollywood began on Thursday, September 3 and will run on a few nights till November 1, as per Blabbermouth. Eight haunted houses and the Terror Tram are part of this year’s roster, which includes “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” a haunted house honouring the late heavy metal legend and more than 40 years of his solo career. “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness” is yet another significant advancement in Ozzy‘s global consumer goods and brand licensing initiative. The haunted home, which draws inspiration from Ozzy Osbourne’s revolutionary solo career, takes viewers to memorable events spanning over 40 years of music, images, and narrative.

Scenes from iconic albums including “Blizzard Of Ozz,” “Diary Of A Madman,” “Bark At The Moon,” “No More Tears,” and “Ordinary Man” are featured in the experience, which honours one of rock’s most significant performers while establishing a potent new touchpoint for fans worldwide. In “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” many incarnations of Ozzy—from a mad scientist Ozzy to a bat that resembles a demon and carries Ozzy’s head—jump out to frighten guests. Access Hollywood spoke with Sharon and Jack Osbourne, who described their contributions to the planning process, on the opening night of Universal’s annual event in Hollywood, which was attended by several media sites.

Sharon made this statement about her level of involvement with “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness” design.

Listen, I don’t design. These people that work here are amazing. All the designers, the people that build the sets. I mean, they have an amazing crew here and in Orlando, ’cause we’ve got one in there, too, and they’ve just done an amazing job. I haven’t been in it, I’ve seen it from the first idea. So I’ve seen it as it’s progressed on paper.

Jack claimed to have been “pretty involved” in the development of “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness” himself.

We started conversations with Universal maybe September of last year. And we came a few times. And, yeah, [we were] very much involved.

Jack responded as follows when asked how much of Ozzy‘s amazing life is depicted in the haunted house.

It’s a lot of ‘inspired by’. So if you’re familiar with my dad’s musical catalog or album covers or what have you, it’s all kind of woven in there.

Jack answered this in response to the question of what he believes Ozzy would think of a haunted mansion dedicated to him.

Oh, well, back in 2013, they did a Black Sabbath house, and he loved it. I mean, he even went and walked through it. He had such a good time, and he was just really just thrilled by it, and he would love getting the updates on how long the lines were to go into the house.

Jack responded as follows when asked if Ozzy was afraid of anything.

Oh, man. He was scared of spiders. And he hated being tickled. Oh my goodness — if you tickled him, he would lose his shit.
