Kelly Osbourne recently talked about her presence at the Grammy Awards earlier this year, which sparked rumours about her mental and physical well-being, as per MetalInjection. People, like they often have, were quick to comment on Kelly’s appearance when she appeared at the award presentation appearing much slimmer than normal. They criticised her for being too tiny, which is hilarious given that she has spent the majority of her life being embarrassed for being too obese. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Osbourne talked about the Grammy performance and how she wasn’t fully aware of how awful she had become until after the fact. She claimed that her weight had become a secondary concern and that she didn’t know about her until she was getting measured for a Grammy dress.
I couldn’t see what other people saw because I was in so much pain… I just saw a broken person. [My stylists] knew I was going through something. So, we were trying to find clothes to not make me look skinnier.
She disclosed that she also purposefully covered up her cheekbones with her hair.
I wore a wig to cover my face, so you couldn’t see how skinny my cheekbones really were. I looked like the fucking Crypt Keeper, I said, ‘This is scary. I didn’t know I looked like this’. My spine – you could see every single bone.
She also explained her presence there.
I was scared. I wanted to be there to support my mum and to pay tribute to my father’s legacy. But in all honesty, when I reflect on it, I don’t think I should have gone. I wasn’t very well.
The frontman of Black Sabbath‘s daughter made it rather evident how much losing her father affected her.
You’re filled with so much pain that the feeling of hunger can’t even pop up, the person I was before my dad died is dead… That person doesn’t exist anymore.
But after living in the spotlight and receiving harsh criticism for her body image, she’s prepared to bring up the subject.
I’m going to do a three-part documentary series on grief and mental health and what I went through and tell my story because there’s a lot that people don’t know.
