The melodic metalcore band Memphis May Fire is scheduled to undertake a concert tour throughout Europe and the United Kingdom in the upcoming spring season. Supporting acts Dead By April and Seven Blood will accompany them on this tour, with specific dates listed below. Tickets will be made available for purchase starting this Friday, October 16th, at 11:00 am CEST at this link.
Memphis May Fire was established in 2006 in Denton, Texas, by original vocalist Chase Ryan, guitarist Ryan Bentley, and bassist Tanner Oakes. The band adopted the name Memphis May Fire in February 2007, after previously performing under the name Oh Captain, My Captain. In early 2007, the group recorded and independently released an EP, which helped them cultivate a regional fan base. Subsequently, Memphis May Fire garnered the interest of Trustkill Records’ president, Josh Grabelle.
In September 2007, the band officially signed with Trustkill Records, leading to the reissue of their self-titled EP in December of the same year. Between 2007 and 2008, the group participated in Twelve Gauge Valentine‘s final tour alongside The Handshake Murders.
Memphis May Fire aimed to release their debut album by summer 2008, with production led by their guitarist, Kellen McGregor. However, following recording sessions conducted during a tour, lead vocalist Chase and temporary drummer Dooley chose to depart from the band. Chase cited personal priorities, specifically his child, as the primary reason for his decision to leave the touring schedule. Dooley also ended his touring commitments, returning to his hometown of St. Louis.
