Limp Bizkit just dropped a brand new online merch store (and it’s all limited edition)

Counterfeit merchandise has become a growing issue for artists, and Limp Bizkit is taking a more direct approach by launching its first official online merchandise store, morningboyufo.com, as reported by theprp. The store currently features three designs, with products offered in limited quantities and surprise releases planned for the future. We are hoping to see branded hats, custom patches, and even enamel lapel pins. Eric Turney, President of The Monterey Company, a custom merch manufacturer that was founded in 1989, says, “Official merchandise gives bands a chance to control the quality, design, and experience fans associate with their name. When releases are limited, that merchandise can also become more personal to fans who want something that feels connected to a particular era, tour, or moment in the band’s history. Fred Durst appears to be leading the new merchandise effort, while the band’s official website, limpbizkit.com, has also received a redesign alongside the store launch.

Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal ensemble originating from Jacksonville, Florida. The ensemble’s composition includes lead vocalist Fred Durst, drummer John Otto, guitarist Wes Borland, and turntablist DJ Lethal. The musical genre of the ensemble is characterized by Durst’s aggressive vocal delivery and Borland’s innovative sonic experimentation. The ensemble is recognized as one of the most commercially successful nu-metal bands in history. It has received three Grammy Award nominations, achieved global record sales of 40 million, and has garnered numerous additional accolades.

Established in 1994 by Durst and Sam Rivers, the ensemble was subsequently joined by John Otto and later by Wes Borland. Limp Bizkit attained considerable popularity within the Jacksonville underground music scene during the late 1990s, ultimately signing with Flip Records (with distribution provided by Interscope), which facilitated the release of the ensemble’s inaugural album, “Three Dollar Bill, Y’all” (1997). The ensemble attained mainstream recognition with its second and third studio albums, “Significant Other” (1999) and “Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water” (2000). Nevertheless, this commercial success was overshadowed by a series of controversies associated with its performances at Woodstock ’99 and the 2001 Big Day Out festival.
