Jennifer Finch, a multidisciplinary artist, photographer, and bassist for L7, has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer and is presently receiving treatment, as per Blabbermouth. What at first seemed to be a problem that might be treated with medication and a full course of radiotherapy has advanced quickly. Jennifer has had numerous surgeries due to unanticipated consequences, which have severely limited her physical abilities. She now needs expert in-home help, substantial continuous medical care, and rehabilitation. A GoFundMe has been started by Jennifer’s numerous friends, collaborators, and family to assist pay for the high costs of her treatment and recuperation. Due to her illness, Jennifer will also be unable to take part in L7‘s already announced ‘Last Hurrah Tour’ in the United States in the autumn of 2026.
When all four members of L7 were in good health and spirits, Jennifer organised the group’s last tour. Jennifer has urged L7 to proceed with the tour as scheduled, even though she will not be able to join the band for the forthcoming U.S. concerts. The band has decided to comply. Tsuzumi Okai, a former touring bassist for Limp Bizkit in 2018, will temporarily take her position at these performances.
We are all devastated by the news and are surrounding her with love, protecting her privacy and dignity, while helping raise the resources she urgently needs for the care ahead. Jennifer is family, and we want her to feel the full strength of the community that has loved and supported her for so many years. – Donita Sparks
Helping Jennifer’s GoFundMe reach as many fans, friends, and members of the larger creative community as possible is the band’s top objective right now. “The Last Hurrah Tour” is the first leg of L7‘s final world tour, which will begin in the United States on October 9. The run will conclude with a hometown party in Los Angeles after stops in New York City, Washington, D.C., Nashville, Chicago, Seattle, and many other places.
