Chilean band Amaranth releases its live session recorded at MonteRanco Estudio

Chilean-based metalcore outfit Amaranth has released their new live session, recorded at MonteRanco Estudio (Región de Los Ríos). Watch the official video below.

Hailing from Valdivia and founded in 2016, Amaranth has developed a sound rooted in modern metal and nu-core, going through various phases and line-up changes before establishing its own distinctive musical identity.

Their discography includes the EP “Memorias y Amaranth”, as well as the album “El Dolor Termina Conmigo” (2021). The band currently comprises Sebastián Herrera on vocals, Maiquel Fuentes on bass, Alonso Sanhueza on guitars and vocals, and Héctor Leiva on drums and vocals.

In this session, Amaranth performs part of their repertoire live and discusses their career, the transformations the band has undergone, the creative and production process behind “The Path of Asura”, and the new avenues that are beginning to open up for the project.

The new episode, recorded at MonteRanco Estudio (Los Ríos Region), combines live performances with a conversation that offers insight into the band’s history, their evolution, independent work, and their artistic quest.

In 2023, the outfit toured Argentina, which included live performances and special recordings at Romaphonic Studios and Estudio Unísono, a historic venue linked to the career of Gustavo Cerati. They will also soon be releasing the second part of their Mural Session, featuring three new tracks recorded at Unísono. Ideal for fans of Underoath, As I Lay Dying or Testigo.
