Nails return with new two track EP “Fear Based Life”

California hardcore act Nails have dropped a new two track EP called “Fear Based Life.” The band released it through Closed Casket Activities, and it arrives on 7 inch vinyl alongside the streaming version.

The EP pairs “Dollar Bin Generation” with the title track “Fear Based Life.” Both cuts are new, and the release marks the band’s first material since their fourth album “Every Bridge Burning,” which landed in 2024.

Nails formed in Oxnard, California in 2007, and they built their reputation on grindcore, powerviolence, and hardcore punk. Guitarist and vocalist Todd Jones leads the group, while the current lineup also features Shelby Lermo, Andrew Solis, and Carlos Cruz. Notably, this new EP moves the band over to Closed Casket Activities after “Every Bridge Burning” arrived via Nuclear Blast.
