Jack Osbourne has revealed some additional information on the “Ozzfest“‘s 2027 comeback, as per theprp. Sharon Osbourne’s previous remarks regarding the revival of this once-yearly metal/rock touring festival have revealed plans for a few destination stops in the upcoming year. Villa Park in Birmingham, UK, the hometown of the festival’s late namesake Ozzy Osbourne, was just announced as one of those locations. In July 2025, that location will host “Back To The Beginning,” Ozzy and Black Sabbath‘s final live farewell. In a recent interview with Page Six Radio on SiriusXM, Jack talked about returning to the festival, which was last hosted in 2018.
It’s been interesting, ’cause it’s kind of like finding the old car in the shop and being, like, ‘All right, let’s get this engine going.’ But it’s cool. There’s a lot of excitement around it. And we’re gonna announce pretty soon — I think in the next couple of weeks we’re gonna announce kind of who the main headliner is and where we’re doing it. So it’s been nice.
According to Jack’s statements thus far, the festival will occur as a single event or events rather than being dispersed across several days. Jack went on to discuss the difficulties in scheduling the festival given the current situation.
It’s just really difficult now. It’s really difficult to kind of, like, ‘All right, who’s doing what?’ ‘Cause a lot of huge bands now are doing their own festivals, they’re doing their own thing, so it’s, like, ‘All right, who’s not got their own festival? Who’s available? Who’s reasonably priced?’ Because with all these huge festivals, artists are, like, ‘Yeah, I’ll do it for, like, 10 million dollars.’ You’re, like, ‘Eh.’
According to Sharon Osbourne’s previous remarks, the festival’s return will begin at Villa Park, with a few tentative stops in the US scheduled to follow. Artists with connections to or inspiration from Ozzy are reportedly given priority for the festival, which is being curated by the Osbourne family. Due to the band’s long-standing relationship with Ozzy Osbourne and their inability to perform at the “Back To The Beginning” event last year, fan speculation about the event has already been wild, with Judas Priest being a favoured front-runner hoped for the festival. Prior to Ozzy‘s health issues forcing him off the road, Priest was initially scheduled for one of his last tours.
Another potential booking is rising rock singer YUNGBLUD, a protégé of the Osbournes who received his first Grammy Award for leading a rendition of Black Sabbath at last year’s “Back To The Beginning” festival.
