On 29th July, Tony Iommi, a founding member of Black Sabbath, announced his new studio album, “From The Dark”, unveiling the first single, “World Alone”, which was enthusiastically received by critics and fans alike.
With 2.5 million streams and extensive international radio airplay since its release, “World Alone” is a rousing rock track, driven by a barrage of guitar riffs and solos, a powerful rhythm section and an extraordinary performance by the renowned Norwegian singer Jorn Lande.
The limited-edition 7-inch version of “World Alone” is available from today and features an exclusive instrumental version of the track on the B-side. The single comes in a luxurious sleeve with laminated finishes.
The video for “World Alone” is set in a dystopian, retro-futuristic universe, in which the protagonist, The Believer, is catapulted into a twisted video game in an attempt to save his life and ultimately find redemption.
Earlier this week, Tony also released a behind-the-scenes video revealing how this extraordinary video was made.

On “From The Dark”, Tony Iommi is joined on every track by Jorn Lande, who shares songwriting credits with him for the entire album, as well as by bassist Becky Baldwin and drummer Karl Brazil. Co-produced by Tony and Mike Exeter – his long-standing creative collaborator, co-writer, producer and sound engineer – the album boasts a crystal-clear, vibrant and powerful sound, capable of enveloping the listener in a cutting-edge, contemporary yet timeless sonic experience.

“From The Dark” will be available in several deluxe editions on vinyl and CD.
The double-LP edition will be released in four different colours, available from various retailers. Pressed at 45 rpm on double vinyl to ensure optimal dynamic range, the deluxe fold-out sleeve is made from high-quality black card and features a die-cut in the shape of Tony’s signature cross. Beneath this lies dark, richly detailed artwork that visually accompanies the journey through the album: part of the illustration remains visible when the inner sleeve is inserted, whilst the full image is revealed when it is removed.
An exclusive Amazon CD edition will also be available, featuring the same die-cut cover, as well as a deluxe CD mediabook edition with a 32-page booklet and two bonus tracks.
