Jesse Leach, the frontman of Killswitch Engage, revealed on social media earlier this week that he and his wife were experiencing a serious crisis in their lives when a black mold infestation was found in their home’s walls. They have been forced to move to several AirBNBs in their region, along with their two cats. It’s been expensive, and because the landowner hasn’t offered any remediation, it appears that Leach’s friend is attempting to assist by launching a GoFundMe page in the hopes of resolving some of their issues. Jake Lawrence is the creator and organizer of the GoFundMe website, which aims to raise $25,000 to assist the Leaches in their recovery. For those who are unaware, black mold is a serious problem. Serious health problems might arise from exposure to the hazardous and difficult-to-remove fungus. Long-term exposure is more harmful, especially if you have asthma or another respiratory condition. Since Leach’s breathing is the foundation of his entire career, he is especially sensitive to this issue. Try to contribute if you can if you have the resources and you enjoy Killswitch Engage or Leach’s work in general. We must assist him and his family. Click here for the GoFundMe!
