Formed in Huntington Beach, California, in 1999, Avenged Sevenfold quickly rose to prominence in the rock and metal scenes. Known for their diverse sound that blends elements of metalcore, hard rock, and heavy metal, the band has consistently pushed the boundaries of what we call metal music today. From their early works like “Sounding the Seventh Trumpet” to their mainstream breakthrough with “City of Evil,” and experimental ventures like “The Stage,” the band has maintained a reputation for innovation and excellence. Their latest album, “Life Is But A Dream…,” released in 2023, continues this tradition, showcasing their ability to evolve with each album while still staying true to their roots.

Avenged Sevenfold headlined Denmark’s largest metal festival Copenhell on Wednesday June 19th in Copenhagen and Chaoszine had the chance to sit down with the band’s iconic front man M. Shadows to discuss about his journey as a metal vocalist from the very early days forming his first ever band Succesful Failure until present and Avenged Sevenfold‘s latest “Life Is But A Dream…” album.
