Avenged Sevenfold debut ‘STATICA’ material live in unconventional backstage performance

The new EP “STATICA” by Avenged Sevenfold has just published, as per theprp. The four tracks, which were produced by Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age), were released with little fanfare and gave the band yet another varied musical journey. Fans’ reactions to the endeavour, which features electronic elements and autotuned voices throughout, have been varied. The band made their first public announcement about the endeavour on July 25th, when “STATICA” was announced as an opening act for the group’s upcoming co-headlining run with Good Charlotte. The event was held in the Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale, Missouri, with Jayden Hammer playing first. The second band on the bill, STATICA, played right before Good Charlotte.
While they later headlined the night with a traditional set that included fan favourites and the live debut of their latest ‘Call Of Duty’ collaborative track, “Magic“, the STATICA performance was a rather peculiar affair. According to fan-filmed footage and reports from concertgoers in attendance, the band performed the songs from the EP live, but not visibly on the stage. Rather, the group’s performance appears to have taken place backstage and was broadcast.
