“I felt a little starstruck” – Floor Jansen reveals her first meeting with Lzzy Hale

Which rock star or celebrity could instantly make you feel weak in your knees? Floor Jansen, the singer for Nightwish, compared this to Halestorm‘s Lzzy Hale, and the appreciation was genuine. In an interview, Jansen discussed her thoughts on the subject with Elizabeth Zharoff of The Charismatic Voice. She was asked if she would like to officially collaborate with any other musicians during the conversation. Of course, Hale’s name was one of the ones mentioned.

I would love to work with Lzzy Hale. We’ve met once at a festival in the U.K. And there I felt a little starstruck, ’cause ever since I heard that beginning note of ‘I Miss The Misery’, that song where she’s, like, [hitting high notes], I was, like, ‘Okay, yes. Yeah.’

Jansen mentioned her also in a recent interview with Metal Hammer.

I’ve seen her live and all I can think is, how on Earth does your voice survive? She screams and kicks and grunts and everything she does is super cool. Lzzy is a powerhouse. She stands for being feminine in a man’s world and describing her feelings quite to the point in her lyrics.
