Heavy metal is one of the most played music during intercourse

A recent study by ZipHealth found that heavy metal is the sixth most popular genre to listen to whilst having sex. To find out which artists, songs, and genres were most popular on different sex playlists, researchers examined over 11,000 songs from around 150 playlists. To find out more specific details on their bonetown soundtracks, they also surveyed with over one thousand respondents. They discovered that Deftones made it onto the list of the most well-known musicians, coming in at number three overall. Not only was Chino Moreno’s voice beloved by non-metal fans, but it was also the top band among metal fans, ranked above Slipknot and System of a Down. 

Researchers also looked at the songs that frequently appeared in playlists with particular keywords. Nine Inch Nails‘ “Closer” was the most popular song that fit the BDSM (bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism) categories. Deftones came in at number four in the same category, while Nine Inch Nails was the most popular artist. Metal enthusiasts have the fourth-longest sex sessions of all genres, lasting an average of 30.8 minutes. Additionally, the majority of metal fans (54%) and fetishists (72%) reported having been in a threesome. Additionally, it was shown that metalheads were the group second most likely to engage in an orgy (21%), having had a one-night stand (82%).
