Slipknot’s ongoing series of real-world teases has culminated in a cryptic new video clip hinting at the band’s major plans for 2027, as per theprp. The campaign began earlier this week when posters promoting a new website began appearing in major cities across North and South America, triggering widespread industry rumors regarding a potential 2027 stadium and arena tour featuring prominent guest bands.
Alongside the live teasers, the group has recently been in the studio working on their upcoming studio album. A teaser previously launched on their new website, unlock.slipknot1.com, points to an official reveal scheduled for Monday, September 28. In the meantime, the band has shared a video montage packed with classic live footage to keep fans speculating.
ercussionist Shawn Crahan, singer Anders Colsefni, and bassist Paul Grey founded the American heavy metal group Slipknot in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995. From 1999 until Gray’s passing in 2010, the band had nine members—Crahan, Grey, Joey Jordison, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root—after a number of lineup changes in its early years.
