Guns N’ Roses have officially released their new song “Absurd.” The track hit digital streaming services this midnight and you can listen to it below:
“Absurd” recently found its way into Guns N’ Roses’ setlist and was performed live first at band’s August 3rd show at Boston. Axl Rose said the following about the song at the stage:
“Some of you might have heard this under another name. But this is really kind of absurd for us to try this. Wasn’t that funny? And they don’t even know the joke yet. Ok, this is called ‘Absurd.’”
The other name Rose was alluding to was “Silkworms,” an abandoned song from the Chinese Democracy sessions. The track was left off from the album but the band played it live four times during 2001.
“Absurd” is the first piece of material to be released by the band since the classic lineup reunited in 2016.
