Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash discussed the status of the recently finished new album from Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators and the band’s plans to tour in support of the endeavour in a recent interview with Rolling Stone Australia editor-in-chief Neil Griffiths, as per Blabbermouth.
We just finished the new record that’s coming out after this Guns tour, and then we’re gonna go on the road. It comes out in February [of 2027]. So right after this [Guns] tour’s over, that one starts up… We have about a year to do it — a little less than a year to do the whole planet. So there you go. And there’s a lot of writing going on with Guns, so after I get back from that, we’ll see if we can start putting some stuff together and getting in the studio. And then I also have that blues thing which I need to do an international tour for. I only did a U.S. tour on that. So I’ll put another record together with those guys and put it out and figure out some window that I can go do an international run with that.
Slash also discussed why, while he’s not touring or recording with Guns N’ Roses, he keeps himself busy with other endeavours.
I think it’s one of those things that I learned, after all the different experiences from 1985 all the way up to 1995, and then everything I went through after that is basically just to keep myself out of trouble, I just keep busy. So I put together The Conspirators, and we started touring in — what? — 2010, and that’s a great band. And when I got back together with Guns, I had no inclination of breaking that up. And I do it because I love to do it. Same reason I love to do Guns — I just love jamming with those guys, and we get together and we just play. It’s also very simple. It’s not a big mega band… And so it’s good for me just to have all these musical outlets just so I can constantly be playing because trust me, you don’t want me to go back the other way.
