Guns N’ Roses has announced the departure of longtime drummer Frank Ferrer. Ferrer joined the band in 2006, replacing then-drummer Bryan Mantia, known for his work with Primus. The band has not yet revealed who will be taking Ferrer’s place, though speculation suggests it could potentially be former drummers Steven Adler or Matt Sorum.

“Guns N’ Roses announces the amicable departure of Frank Ferrer, the longest-serving drummer in their storied history. The band thanks Frank for his friendship, creativity, and steady presence over the past 19 years, and wishes him success in the next chapter of his musical journey,” stated the official announcement from Guns N’ Roses.

Frank first joined GNR during a performance in June 2006, anchoring the rhythm section throughout subsequent tours, including their recent performances featuring the reunited trio of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan. His final performance with the band took place on November 5, 2023 in Mexico.

Guns N’ Roses is scheduled to perform next on May 1 at Songdo Moonlight Park in Incheon, South Korea. More information about Ferrer’s replacement is expected to be revealed before this upcoming show.
