Green Day to play small stage show in New York City

SiriusXM announced that Green Day will play a special exclusive small stage concert for SiriusXM at New York City’s iconic Irving Plaza. The show will take place on January 18.

SiriusXM Small Stage Series with Green Day presented by Carnival Cruise Line will mark the release of the band’s upcoming album, “Saviors”, out on January 19.

Those who attend the event will get the exclusive opportunity to hear the band play songs from the album prior to its release, besides other fan favorites. This event also marks a rare appearance for the band at Irving Plaza – their fourth since their first performance there in 1994.

The band also announced today that on December 27 they are celebrating their 30 years of music on their own SiriusXM pop-up channel, Green Day Radio, to commemorate the release of “Saviors”, the 30th anniversary of “Dookie” as well as the 20th anniversary of “American Idiot”.

The channel will bring exclusive stories from each band member as they walk listeners through their biggest tracks, brand new music from their next album and music from artists that have inspired them.
