The original “Nimrods” soundtrack, which will be released on July 31 and is currently available for pre-order, has been revealed by international rock legends Green Day, which includes Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool, as per Blabbermouth. The 30-track album, which includes four previously unreleased live recordings from the band’s performance at the Palladium in Los Angeles, as featured in the movie, and 22 fan-favorite, career-spanning Green Day songs, will be released on CD, cassette, digital platforms, and multiple vinyl versions. The soundtrack also features four songs from Analogue Dogs, the fictional band at the heart of “Nimrods,” as well as music from The Paradox, Ultra Q, and Mckenna Grace.
The band released the new song and video “I’m Never Gonna R.I.P.” to mark the occasion, and it’s currently accessible on all DSPs and Green Day’s official YouTube account. On August 14, the movie “Nimrods” will hit theatres. “Nimrods” is a coming-of-age tale about three friends (Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, and Ryan Foust) who travel to Los Angeles under the incorrect impression that their band is playing for Green Day on New Year’s Eve. It was developed by writer/director Lee Kirk alongside Green Day and produced by Tim Perell. Based on the travels of Green Day and their years spent living in a tour van, their road trip is a boisterous and naughty journey across the nation full of adventures.
