British industrial metal band Godflesh has shared a new single called “Nero”. The song will be included in the band’s upcoming album “Purge”, out this June. Listen to the track below.
“Purge” is going to be Godflesh’s first new studio release since 2017’s “Post Self” and a welcome return for fans everywhere.
Commenting on the track, frontman and guitarist Justin K. Broadrick said it reflected on mankind’s destructive tendencies with itself, while also pointing to the three additional remixes of the song that are also available on Bandcamp.
“Nero, as a symbol and reminder of irresponsible self destruction as being practiced always, now and forever. In classic Godflesh tradition, three self reinterpretations are presented, to display the many sides of the same coin“, he said.
