Floor Jansen reveals more about the status of Nigthwish

Nightwish singer Floor Jansen discussed the band’s 2023 statement that it would take a hiatus from touring and not embark on the road in support of its most recent album, “Yesterwynde,” which came out two years ago, in a recent interview with Thomas Vogel of Germany’s Sonic Seducer magazine, as per Blabbermouth. When asked if there would be any Nightwish events soon, Floor responded as follows.

No, there’s nothing planned. That is the thing with Nightwish — we’re on a temporary hold. But there’s no communication about when something’s gonna happen.

Nuclear Blast released “Yesterwynde” in September 2024. Following the release of “Human. :II: Nature.” in 2020, it was Nightwish’s tenth studio album. Jukka Koskinen (Wintersun) became an official member of Nightwish in August 2022. After touring as a session musician with Nightwish the year before, Koskinen made his live debut with the band during its two interactive events in May 2021. On January 15, 2027, Floor‘s new solo album “Hytress” will be released through REVAMP Music/Warner Music. Additionally, Jansen has confirmed the extensive “Hytress” tour that will take her and her entire live band to club stages throughout South America and Europe in 2027.
