Hamburg death metal act Endseeker have released a music video for “True Survivor”, their cover of the David Hasselhoff track from the 2015 short film Kung Fury. The cover features fellow Hamburg band Lord Of The Lost and appears on the band’s farewell EP “Coffin Born”, out now via Metal Blade Records.
The band describe the collaboration as a natural fit. They note that Lord Of The Lost joined because the track needed, in their words, “some extra glitter,” calling the result “two bands from Hamburg from different genres united in an unexpected cover song.”
“Coffin Born” marks the end of Endseeker‘s run after more than a decade. The band cite a desire to move on while they can still deliver at full strength, both in the studio and on stage. Their career spans four albums and two EPs, including “Mount Carcass” (2021) and “Global Worming” (2023). Drummer Eike Freese, known for his work with Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, and Helloween, engineered the EP’s drums.
The five-track release is available on digital platforms, digipak CD, and vinyl in several limited variants. The band have a run of German dates ahead before wrapping up their live activity.
