Defences release new song and sign to Long Branch Records

The British band Defences, who describe themselves as a “modern metal” band, using different metal styles, from metalcore to post-hardcore, signed to the label Long Branch Records and released their first song with them now. The song titled “The Almost” talks about the danger to compare ourselves to other people, especially to what other people do or where able to reach in their life. The lyrics speak about having the feeling to miss something in our lives, if we see people on social media – this unnecessary, but frightening feeling that our lives still did not begin.

The last album of the British band Defences dates back to 2021 with “In The Balance”. Before this new song “The Almost” the band dropped another single last month, titled “Gold In The Dark”. All these new songs and the new label seem to lead to maybe a new album?
