Dave Grohl (Foo Fighers) shares his view on America’s current divisions

Author Benedetta Baldin - 17.4.2026

Dave Grohl, the leader of Foo Fighters, has a long history of donating his time and money to organisations that help the underprivileged, as per theprp. Unlike others, he has generally approached his philanthropic deeds in public silence. He has been seen cooking and supplying meals for individuals in need in California on a regular basis. Grohl hasn’t been known to voice his political opinions, despite the fact that it’s clear he enjoys helping people and has personally witnessed the pain and suffering brought on by these difficult times. He did, however, break his relative silence over the present situation in the United States in a recent interview with the Irish Times. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the current political situation in the United States. this assertion.

Fucking Neil Young is angrier than ever – jeez, Louise. But, yeah, of course, it’s hard not to feel political living in America, where we’re deeply divided. And there’s injustice, and there’s so much hate and fear, and it’s such a drag. I try to love everyone, because I think that’s what you’re supposed to do – and I do. But there needs to be change in that direction, and it’s been hard to find in the States.

Grohl’s statement at least indicates his present political position, even though it is not overtly critical. Grohl can still let the music speak, though, since Foo Fighters‘ twelfth studio album, “Your Favourite Toy,” will be released on Friday, April 24.
