Chaoszine’s local heavy guide: concerts with Finnish bands worth attending

The musicians, stage crew, promoters and, most importantly, the audience is finally getting what’s been missing for more than a year: rocking out and headbanging at live music events. Chaoszine put together a listing of upcoming gigs from the local, active Finnish bands. Take a look at what’s happening in July and August!

Arion: “Vultures Die Alone” album release show 23 July, Tavastia, Helsinki. Earlier this year the Finnish metal band released its third studio album, and now it’s the time to celebrate it with live music at the legendary Tavastia venue. Support: Cyan Kicks. More information:

Ginger Vine Management presents: Luna Kills, Blame Me!, Edge of Haze 28 July, On the Rocks, Helsinki. New and fresh alternative rock from Finland in one concert – these three bands have recently released new material, and now it’s the time to check them out in a live gig. More information:

Shiraz Lane: 7 August, Tavastia, Helsinki. Support: DIRT. The concert was originally supposed to take place on 13 March 2020, but the pandemic in Finland started exactly then, and, thus, most of the events got cancelled or postponed. The rescheduled, long-awaited gig is now finally happening, so grab your tickets while you still can! More information:

In addition to the concerts at Kaisaniemi park, “Kaisa Rocks” concert series are also happening at On the Rocks, Helsinki. 12-14 August is another chance to continue with the live music celebration and listen to Huuto!, Varvara, Cyhra, Stereo Terror DJ’s and Miljoonasade. More information:

Blind Channel: two concerts 14-15 August, Alla’s Sea pool, Helsinki. After a successful participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, the event on 14 August was quickly sold out, so the guys had to add another date to their calendar.
