Finnish modern metal five-piece Blind Channel releases “Into the Void” today, a collaboration with Of Mice & Men vocalist-bassist Aaron Pauley. The track serves as the latest single from the band’s upcoming sixth studio album “Painstream,” due October 30 via Century Media Records.
“Into the Void” marks the fourth single from “Painstream” following the double release of “Diana” and “No Encores in a Swan Song” in August, along with September singe “Star We See”.
“Painstream” is the first new music Blind Channel have released since longtime vocalist Joel Hokka departed in April 2025. That exit trimmed the Oulu-based group from six members to five, leaving Niko Vilhelm Moilanen as sole frontman. The current lineup also features Joonas Porko on guitar, Olli Matela on bass, Tommi Lalli on drums, and Aleksi Kaunisvesi on synths.
The band previously released “Exit Emotions” in March 2024 before entering an 18-month hiatus. Blind Channel formed in Oulu in 2013 and gained international attention through the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, where their entry “Dark Side” finished sixth in the grand final. They also swept six awards at the 2022 Emma Gaala, Finland’s equivalent of the Grammys, including Band of the Year and Song of the Year.
“Into the Void” is available now on all streaming platforms. “Painstream” arrives on October 30 through Century Media Records. Blind Channel will headline Helsinki Ice Hall on November 14 before dates in Tokyo and Osaka later that month, with an extensive European headlining tour planned for early 2027.
