About a year and a half has passed since the Finnish nu-metallers Blind Channel went on an indefinite hiatus. Just a few months into that break, one of the band’s two vocalists, Joel Hokka, left Blind Channel, citing “ongoing sleep issues” that “have made touring impossible”:

Half a year later, Joel Hokka launched his new project HOKKA. Now, a link has appeared across Blind Channel‘s social media accounts, leading to a mysterious countdown. The countdown is linked to Sony Music Germany and ends on Wednesday (5 August 2026) at around 9 AM CEST. By then, we should know what the new chapter of Blind Channel as a quintet will look like.
