Abbath drummer Ukri Suvilehto announces full availability for new projects in 2027

Finnish drummer Ukri Suvilehto has announced that he is fully available for new professional opportunities and artistic collaborations.

In a statement shared on social media, Suvilehto reflected on his journey as a musician. Now 32, he says he has spent the past quarter of a century pursuing his goal of becoming an internationally successful musician, particularly within the metal scene.

His journey began by posting drumming videos on YouTube around 20 years ago. Over the past nine years, he has developed into an experienced touring and recording musician, completing several world tours – most notably as the drummer for Abbath.

Suvilehto has now announced that he is ready for the next chapter:

“I’m announcing my full availability for new professional opportunities and artistic collaborations.”

The drummer says he is open to both live and studio work, as well as other forms of collaboration:

“If you need a drummer/musician for your band or project, whether live or in the studio, or if you see other exciting collaboration opportunities with me, don’t hesitate to contact me!”

According to Suvilehto, his calendar is particularly open from early 2027 onwards.

His announcement has already attracted support from several prominent musicians. Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren praised Suvilehto in the comments:

“Ukri, you are a beast behind the kit, and any band will be lucky to have you!”

Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn also wished Suvilehto well, describing him as a “killer drummer.”

Suvilehto did not elaborate if his time with Abbath is over or if he is just looking for new opportunities for 2027.
