“You can like Joey Tempest and Tom Araya at the same time” – Eclipse’s and W.E.T.’s Erik Mårtensson shares his story as a rock vocalist

Swedish Hard Rock is highly appreciated and respected around the world, and one of the musicians who has improved the scene’s quality in recent decades is Erik Mårtensson, who, in addition to being a talented composer, is the guitarist and vocalist for Eclipse, as well as being part of the supergroup W.E.T., that features musicians from Work of Art and Talisman. He also shares his talent in the duo Nordic Union alongside the legendary Ronnie Atkins of Pretty Maids. Mårtensson is on tour, currently promoting Eclipse‘s Megalomanium II released last year via Frontiers Music, but when he is not on the road, he also maintains a busy schedule producing, recording, and mixing bands in his studio in Sweden.

Chaoszine had a chat with Erik before an Eclipse show in Helsinki, Finland and discussed in detail how he started listening to heavy music, his influences and the kind of vocalist he became. You can check out the video interview in full below:
